Data sources
Updated 29 September 2026
MacroLedgr's food information comes from the sources below. Nutrition values are a guide only and can differ from the food in front of you. Always check the pack for allergens.
Singapore: SG FoodID
Contains information from Singapore Food Insights Database (SG FoodID) accessed in September 2026 from Health Promotion Board which is made available under the terms found at https://pphtpc.hpb.gov.sg/web/sgfoodid. The information contained within this dataset is provided on an "as-is" basis. The data, including but not limited to nutritional information, is subject to inherent limitations. No warranty or representation is made as to the accuracy or completeness of the data contained herein.
Australia and New Zealand: AUSNUT 2023
Generic foods (for example "Egg, boiled" or "Rice, white, boiled") are based on AUSNUT 2023, the Australian food nutrient database published by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ): foodstandards.gov.au.
Packaged products
Packaged products use the nutrition information published by the manufacturer on the pack and on retailer product pages. Products added by users are checked before they appear for everyone.
Barcode and search look-ups
When a barcode or food isn't in our own database, the app may look it up in:
- Open Food Facts: contains information from Open Food Facts, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL): openfoodfacts.org.
- FatSecret: fatsecret.com.
Results from these services are shown to help you log, and are reviewed before they become part of MacroLedgr's own database.
